In my former life before children, I have been a lifeguard, teacher, civil engineer and HR manager, but my passion has always been crafting and helping others.
Over the years, I’ve dabbled in most crafts, and will probably continue to do so, if I’m honest – I just can’t resist trying something new.
But for my creative business, I have settled on being a button-maker.
Most of my buttons are made from polymer clay (like plasticine you can bake in a conventional oven), but occasionally I try something new and have recently been experimenting with resin.
I am also one of the founder members of The Handmade Hub, a group of artists, designers and makers based in and around Towcester, Northamptonshire, UK. Our aim is to raise the profile of handcrafted items and encourage the local community to buy local and buy handmade.
I also work part time as a social mediator for ‘Green Umbrella Social Media for Business’, helping corporate businesses with their online social media presence. It has helped me tremendously with promoting Bizzi Zizzi. I also run workshops on social media specifically for the creative industry.
I have only been on my journey as Bizzi Zizzi for about a year, but feel I am starting to find my niche and develop my own style.
I’ll be updating my shop on Etsy soon and one day, I will get around to updating my website (ha ha ha!)
